हाल ही में अहमदाबाद नगर निगम (AMC) ने सफल प्लॉट नीलामी से 235 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक की आय अर्जित की है। यह राशि कई प्रमुख संपत्तियों के लिए की गई नीलामी से प्राप्त हुई। दरअसल, AMC ने पिछले कुछ दिनों में अपनी नीलामी प्रक्रिया के दौरान कई महत्वपूर्ण भूखंडों को बेचा, जिनमें SG हाइवे और चांदखेड़ा जैसे वाणिज्यिक क्षेत्रों के पास स्थित प्लॉट शामिल थे।
AMC ने कुल 22 प्लॉट्स को नीलामी के लिए रखा था, जिससे निगम को लगभग 2,250 करोड़ रुपये की आय का अनुमान है। इनमें से प्रमुख खरीदारों में UAE स्थित लुलु समूह शामिल है, जिसने अहमदाबाद के चांदखेड़ा में एक बड़ा वाणिज्यिक प्लॉट खरीदा, जिसका मूल्य लगभग 519 करोड़ रुपये था। लुलु समूह यहाँ एक बड़ा शॉपिंग मॉल बनाने की योजना बना रहा है, जिससे आसपास के संपत्तियों के मूल्य में वृद्धि होने की संभावना है
